High Court wind up Chester City

Our friends at BBC Sports have announced the demise of Chester City FC.

Chester City have been wound up at a High Court hearing in London.
The 126-year-old club, who were without a league after being kicked out of the Football Conference, owed HM Revenue & Customs £26,125 in unpaid taxes.

City failed to fulfil their last two Blue Square Premier fixtures and were initially suspended, then kicked out of the league last month.
Supporters group City Fans United are now likely to start a new club in a lower league.
