James Drew will be sharing his thoughts for the 2010 cricket season on all things Cricket. His feature ‘Outside the Long Room’ will appear throughout the season. We will highlight the various talking points the coming season will bring and the general opinions James has regarding cricket. We will also follow the mighty Breadsall Cricket Club on their progress throughout the season in the Derbyshire County Cricket League. This is great news as we've been looking for a cricket side to follow over the last couple of weeks.
Founded circa 1880, Breadsall run three senior sides, all of whom play in the Derbyshire County League. For the 2010 season, the 1st team will be in division 4 North, the 2nd's in 5 North and the 3rd's in 10 North. We also have the odd friendly game on any spare Sundays, as well as running five junior sides in total, covering age groups from kwik-cricket and under 11 hard-ball right through to under 17's. We're a friendly club with high aspirations for the future...
Welcome to ‘Outside the Long Room’, I’m sure cricket fans at all levels will enjoy it.
