Headlines:Pearson’s morning glory: Josie Pearson threw a Discus world record at the Olympic Stadium this morning to win Britain’s 10th Athletics gold medal of the Games.
Women make Tennis history: Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley became the first British women to win a Paralympics Wheelchair Tennis medal.
Table Tennis teams top it off with bronze: A bronze brace for the men’s and women’s teams took Britain to a record tally of four medals from London 2012.

Athletics: Pearson was the only GB medallist in the Olympic Stadium, winning F51/52/53 Discus gold in the morning sunshine with a world record.
Boccia: David Smith guaranteed his second Boccia medal of the Games with a semi-final victory in the BC1 singles while Stephen McGuire could still take bronze in the BC4 despite a heavy defeat at the ExCeL. Nigel Murray bowed out of Paralympic competition finishing seventh in the BC2 tournament.
Cycling: Rachel Morris was given the verdict, and the bronze medal, after she and Karen Darke crossed the line holding hands at the end of the H1-3 handcycling Road Race taking GB’s cycling haul to 21, one better than Beijing.
Football 7-a-side: After being 2-0 up, Britain were at the wrong end of a 4-3 extra-time defeat to Argentina in their 5-8 semi-final at the Riverbank, and will play USA for seventh.
Sitting Volleyball: Britain’s men finished eighth in the 10-team tournament after a straights set defeat to China.
Swimming: A quiet night in the pool with just one relay silver in the women’s 4x100m Medley 34pts.
Table Tennis: Will Bayley, Ross Wilson and Aaron McKibbon bagged the class 6-8 while Sara Head and Jane Campbell clinched the class 1-3 in five matches.
Wheelchair Basketball: GB’s women finished with a flourish, beating Mexico 59-37 to secure seventh, their highest finish at a Paralympic Games for 16 years.
Wheelchair Fencing: The women’s fencing team finished eighth overall after losing all three matches today, to no. 1 seeds Hong Kong, plus France and Russia.
Wheelchair Rugby: GB will fight for fifth in the classification round after suffering their second group game defeat to Japan, 51-39.
Wheelchair Tennis: Shuker and Whiley took Doubles bronze, beating Thailand’s Sakhorn Khanthasit and Ratana Techamaneewat in three sets.
