Normal service will be resumed.

Sorry about the lack of posts over the past two weeks, we have had technical issues that we have had to overcome. We had hoped to bring a fresh new look to the blog, but unfortunately that will not be launched until January 2012.

We will also have brand new features for your enjoyment.

It has been an unbelievable time, with the passing of 2 footballing greats. Socrates died over the weekend, a member of one of the most exciting Brazilian sides not to win a World Cup.

The biggest shock of all was Gary Speed. I would like to officially add our thoughts and prayers to the family and many friends. We met Gary 2 or 3 times as part of a group or at functions. The kindness and warmth you felt when meeting him was that of a great man, a true gent. He would greet you as a long lost friend, regardless of whether you had been in his company before.

The united front of football at the loss of Gary, indicates the high esteem he was held by those who worked with him, who (like us) had been in his presence very briefly, those who simply enjoyed watching him play and the teams he sent out.

Gary Speed - rest in peace.
