WSN Basketball: Wasps thrid away win in a row.

Mold Magic 50 Hull Wasps 70

Hull Wasps took their third straight win away from Wales on Sunday afternoon with a convincing 70-50 victory over Mold Magic. A flying start from the Wasps all but ensured victory after a first quarter performance which saw them take in a 23-12 lead at the break.

Hull’s player-coach Matt Fawcett introduced some fresh blood into the team at the start of second, giving a first appearance to 18-year old Miles Baldwin. The initial changeover caused a loss of momentum but still managed to extend their overall lead in the game to take a 35-20 lead in at the half-time interval.

A reintroduction of the some of the more experienced players at the start of the third brought another strong period for the Wasps who extended their lead even further to 53-30 before closing out the game at 70-50.

John Brignell finished as the Wasps top scorer once again with 15 points. Brignell has been the Wasps top scorer in every game he’s featured in so far this season.

Matt Brutnell came second with 14 points and Andy Marr came third with 7.
