Help A Sky Diving Team Soar To Success!

Team 4mula are a fresh new formation skydiving team who formed at the beginning of 2010 with the intention of competing against other formation teams in the UK and eventually internationally. Since January, the team have been training hard both on individual and team performance in preparation for the first competition in May at Netheravon.

The team are a dedicated bunch consisting of Simon, Kris, Dave, and Martin all with varying levels of skill and experience from 90 jumps to 320, totalling around 800 jumps between them. Getting a team together was harder than they anticipated despite the skydiving community being very friendly and close knit but with perseverance and dedication to their goal, 4mula was born.

Dave says "It took about 3-4 months to get the team together and at one point I didn't think it was going to happen. We had a team member leave us very early on which was a real blow, but Simon jumped at the chance to be the replacement and we've never looked back."

At the beginning 4mula enrolled a top British coach who is probably one of the best coaches in the world. Claire 'Sparky' Scott who is a current and 5-time world champion at women's 4-way formation skydiving has been putting 4mula through their paces but also gives them the direction and foundation a new team needs to be successful with all the right habits. For more information on Sparky, go onto http://www.stormskydivingteam.co.uk/

Over the months, team 4mula has become a solid unit with bigger plans than what were discussed at the beginning! The initial goal for 2010 was to participate in the UK Skydiving league (UKSL) and participate at the British Nationals. The UKSL has 4 leagues (Rookie, A, AA, AAA) each getting increasingly more difficult with more formations and blocks to learn but 4mula will be starting in the Rookie league and have a plan to work their way through to AAA and eventually at International level for GB in the next couple of years.

This will take time, but the team has plenty of it and the determination to do well every year and progress. The team have gone from strength to strength with their website launching last month and their own line of team merchandise which also has plans to become a range of skydiving inspired clothing. You can check out the team and clothing at http://www.team4mula.co.uk/ so take a look and don't be shy!

Dave also commented "We really want to make this team great and do well. Each member will give 110% every time and that's all you can ask for... apart from the odd medal here and there i suppose! We would like to thank SportTrades for their continued effort and support for a new team that falls outside the 'normal team sport' category!"

Like any new sports team, Team4mula are looking for funding, and at SportTrades, we're confident that any sponsor would be rewarded with lots of value and benefits in return for getting on board with this enthaustic and talented bunch of skydivers and joining them on the steps up the competition ladder.
