'Posh Boys' take Charge at Team Westminster

The 'Posh Boys' are in charge. No, no. no. not Barry and Gary at London Road. We are led by Dave and Nick, Team Westminster. Tory Dave and Nick the Whig, lead us through our future sporting ambitions, oh and other serious stuff. We are led by men from private education and privileged backgrounds, my how we have progressed since the 1900's.

I am certain, however, they will work together to make sure that the Olympics in 2012 is a success and that we are also successful in our bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup and other prestige world sporting events.

I hope they continue the sporting success enjoyed by the outgoing Government. 1 Rugby World Cup, 2 Ashes victories, 2 F1 World Champions, World Top 3 ATP ranked Tennis player, potentially a world beating golfer, winning the 2012 Olympics for London and continued success for our domestic football clubs in Europe. I hope they continue to make sport available people at all levels. The continuous development of facilities, improving standard of coaching and youth investment are important components to a successful and strong nation. Sport inspires, Think Sport and dare to be great.

Although the beginning was tongue in cheek, SportTrades will always remain politically impartial. We are more than happy to promote projects and initiatives to increase the involvement of all ages in a wide range of sports. I am sure that the new coalition government, will not stamp their feet and demand that Eton Fives, Racquets and Polo are included in the 2012 Olympics. I am also positive that the government will support sport and will continue to strive for sporting success on a Worldwide stage for Britain. We also hope that they will help grassroots sport to thrive and the numbers of real people participating in sport stabilises and increases. We hope that they keep safety and interests of spectators high on the agenda and they offer advice and help to clubs that are the heartbeat of the community. That important National Sporting moments are available for all to view.

There are a number of sports that are viewed as elitist, but are thrilling and exciting to play and watch. I would hope that we could break through these barriers and that the stigma is removed and those sports can select future stars from a wider and inclusive base. The greater the catchment area of talent, the greater and more sustainable the success.

SportTrades believe sport is important to individuals and society. It is a universal language bringing together people from all backgrounds, unity through sport.
