Big fixtures were played, we are now a step closer to who wins the various leagues, those who are in Europe or the play offs. We know the identity of the finalists in the F.A.Cup and the Scottish Cup. Yet this weekend in football was sombre, we again tasted tragedy, reflection and thankfulness.We offered our support on the continued battle over illness of two current Premiership players Fabrice Muamba and 'Stan' Petrov, We heard about the heart attack of legend Trevor Francis. We wish them well on their recovery and are thankful they have that opportunity.
We reflect on the 96 who died at Hillsborough all those years ago, and send our thoughts to the family and friends.
We see tragedy upon the death, after a cardiac arrest, of Piermario Morosini, 25, while playing a Serie B match for Livorno. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and team mates at Livorno and Udinese.
