Sol y Futbol: Los Rojillos second draw of the campaign
Las Palmas Atletico 1 UD Lanzarote 1
The second game of the season was a mirror image of the first.
The first half was poor, with the second period seeing an improvement. Just like last week, much of the first half was played out in midfield with neither side taking any advantage.
UD Lanzarote were enforced into a change after 17 minutes, when Jonathan Torres suffered a head injury and was replaced by Rosmen.
On the stroke of half time Las Palmas missed a glorious opportunity and both sides went into the break all square.
The second half saw Lanzarote closing down more and enjoying more possession. The pressure led to more chances for los rojillos, but also the attention of the officials. Before long, Lanzarote were reduced to 10 men.
Almost immediately Las Palmas took advantage, and went into a 1-0 lead. The lead lasted only 5 minutes before equalised in goals and dismissals. Echedey bringing the scores level. More pressure from Lanzarote didn’t result in increasing the scoreline and match ended level.
That leaves UD Lanzarote in 16th place after 2 matches, and next week welcome Tijarafe to Arrecife. Ian get the computer working and posting these match reports again.
UD Las Palmas Atlético: Alejandro, Álvaro Arencibia, Borja, Ayoze, Acai, Oscar, José Artiles, Roque (Juan Antonio 82), Cristian Herrera, Omar (Moisés 67) y Manu Dimas (Raúl Herrero 72).
UD Lanzarote: Santi Lampón, Sixto, David Dorta, Adrián Martín, Taja (Ángel Gil 56), Vladimir, Jotha, Echedey, Gustavo (Javi Betancort 68), Ayoze Pérez y Jonathan Torres (Rosmen 17)
