WINDSOR & ETON PROGRESS TO STAGE 4

Thamesmead Town 1 Windsor & Eton 2. The Royalists make it through to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the F.A. Cup after a tough win away from home. Thamesmead were ahead after 8 minutes, with a goal from Rikki Cable. Thamesmead held the ball well and had the greater share of possession, Three minutes before the break Royalists defender Andrew Fagan brought the score level going into half time.

The second half. Both sides had opportunities to take the lead. Finally Windsor & Eton’s second goal came after 61 minutes. Andrew Fagan calmly slotting the ball home, claiming his brace for the game. Thamesmead responded by piling on the pressure, and came close through Rikki Cable towards the end of the match. Windsor & Eton secured their third appearance in the SportTrades F.A.Cup Tacker, as they progress to Stage 4. Farnborough will be their opponents.
