Barking Abbey overcome Northumbria

Barking Abbey Senior Women made it two wins from two this weekend in VCars.co.uk Division 1 play, with a 66-48 victory over Northumbria on Sunday afternoon at Sport Central.

Melita Emanuel-Carr led BA with 23 points, Ros Mason added 16, while Georgia Jones finished with 8.
BA will now break for the Christmas period before returning to action January 6th against NASSA at UEL Sports Dock (2.10pm GMT tip). More to come.

Short-Handed BA Senior Women Overcome Leeds

A short-handed Barking Abbey Senior Women’s side secured an 82-64 victory over Leeds Carnegie on Saturday afternoon, in VCars.co.uk Division 1 action.

“Overcoming Leeds without 5 players missing through injury was a great team performance,” commented head coach Mark Clark after the game. “Imani Whittington made her national league debut and Alicia Gallagher made a great contribution. But it was simply a great team effort.”

Roz Mason led BA with 23 points, whilst Kashmere Joseph and Georgia Jones added 12 each.
BA moved to fouth place in the league table, with a 3-1 record. They will look to climb the table on Sunday when they take on Northumbria away at Sport Central.
