The CRY Philips Test My Heart Tour2010

Cardiac Risk in the Young (C.R.Y) are a charity close to SportTrades.  We would ask you all to find out more about the charity and support its fundraising events.  The charity campaigns to get screening available for our young people. Many football clubs within the UK now screen young players and many more sport organisations are committing themselves to screening. In many European countries it is a requirement for the future talent of sport be tested, detection leads to prevention. On a wider scale we urge all young people to attend a Test My Heart tour venue and be screened.  The likelihood is you will be fine, but 12 young people a week, who appear to fit and healthy, die of heart disease. Thankfully Evander Sno continues to make progress in Holland, but he is a prime example of what could happen.

The CRY Philips Test My Heart Tour 2010 aims to reduce the number of heart deaths amongst apparently fit and healthy young people.

The second CRY Philips Test My Heart Tour will kick-off in Durham on 18th September 2010. This is the second free heart screening tour of its kind in England - the first being the CRY Philips Test My Heart Tour in 2009 - and has been made possible by the fundraising efforts of CRY families whose lives have been affected by young sudden cardiac death; and by the support of health and well-being company Philips.

This national campaign aims to reduce the number of undiagnosed heart conditions in young people, by testing the hearts of over 2,500 14 to 35 year-olds, to identify heart conditions which could potentially prove fatal if left untreated.

To book a FREE appointment at one of the 9 tour locations (27 screening dates in total) simply go to http://www.testmyheart.org/
